The CentOS Linux Installer will let you setup:
- The disk layout you want to use, including any encryption and remote storage you might want
- The network setup
- The source you want to install from
- Either local, eg: DVD/Everything/Minimal media
- Remote eg: http mirrors, ftp mirrors, nfs media
- Add in any remote repositories like the updates/ repo
- Setup an initial Root password
- Create a new user for the installed machine
- Setup Timezone for the installed machine
- Enable your new CentOS installation to act as an NTP client (you can also define your prefered NTP servers)
- Define the keyboard layout you want to use
