Installation Test Matrix
This matrix describes all the different ways to install CentOS. If you successfully tested a certain way on a certain platform you can add the letter of your hardware profile in the matrix in the correct cell. If you have a failure then add a note below the matrix in the numbered list and add the number of your entry in the cell.
If there are already 5 letters in a cell for tests on real hardware or inside Xen, or if there are already 3 letters for the other platforms then you do not need to add a letter if your test was successful. If your test failed then leave the letters in the cell but add the number of your note.

As of 19 Nov 2007 0600UTC: attempted to update from the QA-update tree. mkinitrd says it needs nash 5.1.19.6-1 which is already on the system. -AkemiYagi

1a -- This is also a multilib issue, I've run a yum update from the x86_64 os tree and that worked for me. -- TimVerhoeven 1b-- Update at 1230UTC 19 Nov 2007: Re-sync'd the os x86_64 tree, generated metadata and tried the update from there. This time NO dependencies problem and all went through. -AkemiYagi

vmware guests updated from 5.0 fully updated -> 5.1 (base+updates) for i386 and x86_64 arches: minimal/lamp/desktop. I need to build the kernel-vm for 5.1...-TruHuynh

Installing a 32bit domU with PVM on a 64bit dom0 consistently get's me a kernel panic. -- TimVerhoeven
Function Test Matrix
This matrix describes different functional tests. If you successfully tested a item from the matrix then you can add a X to the cell. If you have a failure then add a note below the matrix in the numbered list and add the number of your entry in the cell.
If there are already 5 letters in a cell for that test then you do not need to add a letter if your test was successful. If your test failed then leave the letters in the cell but add the number of your note.

Yum priorities testcases
- General test:
- Install yum priorities.
- Set the CentOS Base, Updates, and Extras repos to priority 1.
- Enable RPMForge.
Try to install subversion and perl-Compress-Zlib. Yum should offer to install these from the CentOS repos.
- More to come.
Rescue Mode
- i386: from pxe boot + ftp method ok
Serial Console
- i386: console=ttyS0,38400 ok
Release Notes
Put here things you think should be mentioned in our release notes :
- I see "Memory for crash kernel (0x0 to 0x0) notwithin permissible range" when booting : This is part of the new kdump infrastructure. It's is a harmeless message and can be ignored.
- libvirt has a dependency for dnsmasq, we should check if this interferes with dhcpd if it was installed.
Bug #2258 will probably be fixed in 5.2.
CentOS 5.1 kernel has 'known issues' regarding autofs and nfs : theses issues were reported by several users during the QA tests : see upstream bugzilla https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=377661
An update - The autofs problem is a known issue and will be fixed in 5.1.x according to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=371341 . A patch to fix the problem is provided in that BZ and also can be found in our bug tracker http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=2448 (AkemiYagi)
- CentOS 5 kickstart scripts _may_ have issues on CentOS 5.1 install trees.
- Dovecot on x86_64 arches requires "login_process_size = 64" to be added to the /etc/dovecot.conf after upgrade to 5.1
