Test Matrix

This will be expanded to a more complete matrix. But for now add things you need/would like to see/... to be tested.

Installation Test Matrix

This matrix describes all the different ways to install CentOS. If you successfully tested a certain way on a certain platform you can add the letter of your hardware profile in the matrix in the correct cell. If you have a failure then add a note below the matrix in the numbered list and add the number of your entry in the cell.

If there are already 5 letters in a cell for tests on real hardware or inside Xen, or if there are already 3 letters for the other platforms then you do not need to add a letter if your test was successful. If your test failed then leave the letters in the cell but add the number of your note.

    • 1a -- This is also a multilib issue, I've run a yum update from the x86_64 os tree and that worked for me. -- TimVerhoeven 1b-- Update at 1230UTC 19 Nov 2007: Re-sync'd the os x86_64 tree, generated metadata and tried the update from there. This time NO dependencies problem and all went through. -AkemiYagi

  2. Japanese version installed. Confirmed NO garbled letters in anaconde slides. -AkemiYagi

  3. vmware guests updated from 5.0 fully updated -> 5.1 (base+updates) for i386 and x86_64 arches: minimal/lamp/desktop. I need to build the kernel-vm for 5.1...-TruHuynh

  4. kickstart used to generate the vmware guests (minimal/lamp/desktop) were used to test the fresh install from ftp on real 32 bits hardware. -TruHuynh

  5. Installing a 32bit domU with PVM on a 64bit dom0 consistently get's me a kernel panic. -- TimVerhoeven

Function Test Matrix

This matrix describes different functional tests. If you successfully tested a item from the matrix then you can add a X to the cell. If you have a failure then add a note below the matrix in the numbered list and add the number of your entry in the cell.

If there are already 5 letters in a cell for that test then you do not need to add a letter if your test was successful. If your test failed then leave the letters in the cell but add the number of your note.
