1. Meeting Minutes

• Lala (#lalatenduM) offering to take up slack since Patrick is busy and take over running meetings moving forward
  • To propose a meeting date/time slot on centos-devel list
  • To establish where the meeting to take place ( most people seem to like irc and therefore #centos-devel might be an option )

Status Checks:

• gluster is ready to move into testing, BLOCKED ON: sign and release process being implemented
• openafs is making progress, using Fedora COPR for builds. Lala to interface with Andrew and JBillings to get them setup with koji access

  • For now, build via SRPMS since git -> koji is not quite 100%

  • openafs also needs conversation and consideration around building kmod's for multiple kernel versions, and to build/rebuild on every kernel release ( speak to Thomas, Mike and buildsys group for feedback )
  • openafs is not tested client + server side, contributors feel there should be -some- testing on both sides before we pass along confidence in builds to users

Other

• SCST folks are keen to join the effort, KB to introduce them into group

1. Packaging Discussion
   • Find maintainers

     • Lala assembling first list

2. Ceph packaging
   • currently packaged similar to .debs
   • pre ceph-deploy (may need some work to remove cruft)
   • Get mentor the packaging process to vet and assist w/ build
   • CentOS wiki has a packaging page

3. GlusterFS
   • request to use puppet gluster
   • problems w/ centos 6.5 (qemu/kvm)
     • will have to address with package selection

4. Roadmap
   • End of april to have installable stuff from a centos repo
5. Hackathon @ RHS
   • Send Neil Levine (with an understanding of ceph rpms)
   • pushing swift API as an open standard
   • sell the concept of application that consume storage services
   • iron out CentOS storage SIG packaging
     • gather ideas at RHS hackathon

     • cementing packaging will wait until OpenStack Summit

Action Items:

• Lala assembling first package list for base CentOS Storage SIG
• John Mark to provide intro to package mentor (Kaleb?) for Patrick
• Patrick to work with KB on infrastructure
• Patrick to take first crack at Ceph Packages
• Neil to attend RHS hackathon (Tentative)
• Patrick publish the meeting minutes (end of April target)
